A REGENCY ROSEWOOD CANTERBURY ATTRIBUTED TO GILLOWS, CIRCA 1820
Fluted baluster-filled sides and a drawer, the sculpted leaf carved conical feet with sunk castors, original drawer handles with gadrooned post finials Measures 22 in. (56 cm.) high; 26¼ in. (66.5 cm.) wide; 17¾ in. (45 cm.) deep closely related rosewood canterbury with solid panels framed by baluster spindles was sold from the Coke Collection, Jenkyn Place, Christie's, London, 17 October 1996, lot 72.

The single sectioned mahogany base on turned legs and original castors can be manoeuvred by altering an integral mechanism, to adjust the height and angle of the upholstered top to facilitate ease of use and comfort.
The piece retains its original patinated buttoned caramel leather and brass casters.
